Global Entrepreneurship Week is almost here and at Enabling Enterprise, we want to make this year the best one yet!

What is Global Entrepreneurship Week?

Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is the world’s largest campaign to promote entrepreneurship. Every year, it plays a critical role in encouraging the next generation of entrepreneurs to consider starting up their own business. In 2016, GEW falls on 14th to the 20th November. It’s a week to be enthusiastic about enterprise and we are eager to help schools make the most of this.

Free Resources for GEW 2016

This year we’re giving a free resource to schools so that schools across the country can show entrepreneurial potential and rise to a challenge. If you use the lessons in your school we would love to see how you are getting on @enablingent or on

This lesson is made of four parts and can be used as a 1-hour or 2-hour session for students in KS2 and KS3. Each of our projects involve a real-life business link and in this project Virgin Active challenges students to inspire active lifestyles in their school, through a creative and persuasive campaign.

The first part explores the skills needed to be enterprising and guides students to come up with ideas to bring activeness to their school. The second part uses maths and numeracy to analyse data on keeping fit. In the third part, literacy and English are central to creating campaign materials. Finally, the students pitch their ideas to persuade people in the school to build Activeness into their lives, and reflect on how to continue to keep their campaign going.

If you’d like to find out more about how you can embed enterprise into your curriculum, take a look at our primary programmes, secondary programmes or just get in touch!
