Enabling Enterprise was delighted this week to be recognised as one of the Top Ten Organisations at the Future 100 Awards 2010. The Future 100 exists to award recognition to organisations that offer innovative and sustainable solutions to social problems, and promote responsible business practice. It is organised by Striding Out, a social enterprise which supports the development and growth of projects run by young and ethical entrepreneurs.

The announcement of the awards was scheduled to fall in Global Entrepreneurship Week 2010. The aim of the week is to unleash people’s enterprising ideas to address some of society’s most challenging issues, from climate change to poverty, gender and health. Thousands of people around the UK have been involved in enterprising activities to celebrate the Week, joining millions of others around the world.

Founder of Striding Out and organiser of the Awards, Heather Wilkinson, said: ‘The future of our world is in the hands of individuals who are committed to generating commercial and ethical returns. Challenging economic times can offer opportunities to question the way we operate as both a business community and a society’.

We’re really excited to have Enabling Enterprise recognised in this way as momentum builds around what we are doing.
