We’ve moved! Following an exciting period of growth in the West Midlands, this September Enabling Enterprise has moved into a new office at Newman University. This will support with our work towards our all-important mission: to work in partnership with schools and businesses to ensure that one day all students will leave school with the enterprise skills, experiences of the workplace and aspirations for future success.

Enterprise in the West Midlands

In the West Midlands the reputation and impact of Enabling Enterprise is growing. We’re able to reach more students in schools across the region to deliver high quality enterprising lesson-time projects, exciting whole-school challenge days and trips to top businesses. Our business partners include East End Foods, international law firm Wragge Lawrence Graham and Selfridges department store.

Our new partnership with Newman University is based on a shared vision and strong business links. And to add to this, both members of our West Midlands EE team are Newman alumni.

Taking students to businesses

In the Summer Term of 2014, students from one of our partner schools, ARK Tindal Primary were the first of many to visit Newman University to take part in an engaging business challenge. They were joined by volunteers from the Newman community, including staff and student ambassadors, who were eager to support the students in their enterprising challenge. Newman will continue to support regular termly visits for students from our West Midlands schools.

Every one of the Enabling Enterprise business trips supports the work of the children taking part in their projects at school; helping them develop enterprise and employability skills and gain new experiences.

Our new partnership

This exciting new partnership aims to improve the lives of the young people in the West Midlands. This might include sharing good practice and networking opportunities; consultancy in enterprise education and project based learning; widening the understanding of enterprise education amongst Newman students, particularly in the School of Education at Newman. There is also potential for broadening the range of work placements and experiences available to Newman students in social enterprise. We are excited about this new partnership and the new opportunities it will bring.

Newman University are working in partnership with Enabling Enterprise to support student’s develop essential life skills and build aspirations for the future. If you would like to find out how to get involved, Contact Us.
