As a Modern Languages teacher with no Business teaching experience I was somewhat daunted by the prospect of teaching an entire course about Enterprise! Nevertheless, I attended the teacher training course and, equipped with bags of resources and much needed support from the Enabling Enterprise network, began to launch the project in my school.
The results have been nothing short of outstanding. I continue to be amazed by the level of commitment, motivation and innovation the students in my group have shown. They behave like business professionals and constantly impress me and the outside speakers with their knowledge of business concepts. In terms of soft skills, they and their other teachers report increased confidence and enthusiasm.
There are many possibilities for using Enterprise creatively both within the school and when collaborating with the network of other teachers. I can’t recommend this course enough and I will be taking on another group of students next year!
