On 11th June 40 students from schools across London attended the Enabling Enterprise Marketing and Communication day at UBS in Liverpool St. As this was the final event of the year for the French strand, we had high expectations of what the students could achieve… and they certainly delivered!

The first challenge of the day saw students working closely with the UBS volunteers to develop a name and tag line for a new product – a hard task considering bizarre nature of some of the items they had to sell! They then spent the afternoon working in their companies to develop a new brand of chocolate. With a tough deadline they had to cover all aspects of the marketing, from an advert to the costing. The teams presented their ideas to a panel of expert judges who had the very difficult task of choosing between the 6 outstanding presentations. Teachers and UBS staff all commented on the impressive way the students worked together and their increased abilities to manage their time effectively to produce fantastic results.
