The first Enabling Enterprise event for this year in the North West kicked off in style with 60 students from 4 Academies; Droylsden, New Charter, Manchester, Manchester Enterprise taking part in a day of business events hosted at Manchester Enterprise Academy(MEA).

Throughout the day the students were involved in a variety of team events that tested their enterprise capabilities, ranging from; choosing who to send to the moon, to delivering ‘Elevator Pitches’, to preparing questions for and conducting mock interviews for a teaching position. The students were highly impressive in the way they handled every challenge thrown at them and conducted themselves in professional manner right the way through.

Mr Baker, a teacher from MEA, commented that he thought it was “excellent that the students were acting so professionally whilst really enjoying themselves at the same time”. Team work was crucial to the day’s success and the students had fun working not only across year groups but also across schools.

Thanks to Manchester Enterprise Academy for hosting the day, and Adam and Steve who put the day together.
