The School:

Wolf Fields Primary School, in Southall, is in their second year working with Enabling Enterprise. Previously, students have been busy developing their Enterprise Skills by setting up their own Greetings Card businesses. Today’s challenge was a fantastic opportunity for students from Year 1 to Year 6 to put their Enterprise Skills to the test.

The Challenge: Crime Scene Challenge

Over the course of the day, the students worked in teams as police investigators to solve the case of the ‘Sugar Snatcher.’ Following police procedures such as fingerprint analysis and evaluating evidence at the crime scene itself, the students were able to put their Problem Solving skills to the test to help them build a convincing case for who they thought was the guilty culprit. Continuing to practice their Working in a Team skills, it was then time to present their case to the case officer.

What they said:

  • “We’ve had to listen carefully to all the clues, so we catch the right person.” – Student, Year 2
  • “The students have been so engaged with the work today, it has really highlighted their use of skills throughout.” – Teacher
  • “You have to think really carefully about the evidence before you can use it. Not all of it will be useful. That is how we have been problem solving.” – Student

Thanks to everyone for such a great Challenge Day!
