The School:

William Tyndale is in their 5th year working with Enabling Enterprise. Last year they celebrated their centenary by successfully running the ‘Future Transport‘ Challenge Day. Today’s challenge was a fantastic opportunity for Year 1 to Year 6 students to kick start their skills in the new academic year by taking part in another exciting Enterprise Challenge.

The Challenge: Crime Scene Challenge

Over the course of the day, the students worked in teams as police investigators to solve the case of the ‘Sugar Snatcher.’ Following police procedures such as fingerprint analysis and evaluating evidence at the crime scene itself, the students were able to put their Problem Solving skills to the test to help them build a convincing case for who they thought was the guilty culprit. Continuing to practice their Working in a Team skills, it was then time to present their case to the case officer.

What they said:

  • “The children have been so focused and engaged in today’s challenge. Walking around the school at break and lunchtime everyone is talking about who it could be” – Teacher
  • “We had ups and downs throughout the day, but we overcame them all through problem solving” – Student
  • “If the police don’t work in teams they can’t find the culprit. The secret to good teamwork is working together and working hard” – Student
  • “We may not be the best at solving crimes, but we’re a great team.” – Student

Thanks to everyone for such a great Challenge Day!
