The School

Keston Primary is in their second year of working with Enabling Enterprise. The school’s Learning Skills, especially Perseverance and Collaboration, chime perfectly with the Enterprise Skills the students have been developing. Last year they already excelled in a memorable Operation: Moonbase and so today was a fantastic opportunity for students from Year 1 to Year 6 to put all eight of their Enterprise Skills to the test once more.

The Crime Scene Challenge

Over the course of the day, students were Working in a Team to become police recruits and investigate a crime that had been committed in school. The ‘Sugar Snatcher’ was at large after stealing chocolate supplies from schools across the country, and Keston Primary was the latest victim. The students had to put together the strongest case possible by collecting evidence and analysing a range of clues that they pieced together in order to establish exactly what happened. The day culminated with teams Sharing Ideas by reporting to the Case Officer on who they thought the culprit was.

What they said:

  • “There’s been a lot of group work and group discussion today, which is really good for them” – Teacher
  • “We can’t tell who it is yet because we haven’t found out enough clues.” – Student
  • “At one point we had a bit of a fallout but we didn’t give up and we persevered.” – Student

Thanks to everyone for such a great Challenge Day!
