The School:

St Wilfrid’s RC Primary School is in their first year working with Enabling Enterprise. Today’s challenge was a fantastic opportunity for students from Year One to Year Six to put their Enterprise Skills to the test.

The Challenge: A Day in Politics

Over the course of the day, students had the opportunity to practice their Working in a Team skill by setting up their very own political parties. They dived head first into the world of politics, learning about democracy and carrying out debates before setting up their own political parties. Students were Sharing Ideas about which areas of society they wanted to help and how they might spend their money to support them. Finally, teams held an exciting election to determine who’d created the most persuasive political party!

What they said:

  • “I’ve really seen a different side to the pupils today. It’s given them the opportunity to show skills they don’t normally get the chance to.” – Teacher
  • “There was such a great atmosphere across school today. It was great to see the pupils leading their own learning.” – Teacher
  • “I had a lot of fun today and learned lots about politics. I liked working with my team all day.” – Student
  • “I’m really proud of how my team worked together. We made sure we took turns and included everyone so we didn’t fall out.” – Student

Thanks to everyone for such a great Challenge Day!
