The School:

Maidenhall Primary School is in their first year working with Enabling Enterprise. This was the first exciting enterprise challenge the students had seen and it was a big surprise to find out how different the day would be! Today’s challenge was a fantastic opportunity for students from Year 4 to put their Enterprise Skills to the test.

The Challenge: Crime Scene Challenge

Over the course of the day, the students worked in teams as police investigators to solve the case of the ‘Sugar Snatcher.’ Following police procedures such as fingerprint analysis and evaluating evidence at the crime scene itself, the students were able to put their Problem Solving skills to the test to help them build a convincing case for who they thought was the guilty culprit. Continuing to practice their Working in a Team skills, it was then time to present their case to the case officer.

What they said:

  • ” It was so interesting to see how differently they worked with each other. They started out just speaking over one another but then began to work together much more effectively as the day progressed” – Teacher
  • ” It didn’t matter that we got it wrong because at least we tried.” – Student, Toucan class
  • ” My favourite part was visiting the crime scene!” – Student, Panther class

Thanks to everyone for such a great Challenge Day!
