The School: Joy Lane Primary School

Joy Lane Primary School in Whitstable, Kent is in their first year of working with Enabling Enterprise. Today’s challenge was a fantastic opportunity for students in Years 4 and 6 to put their Enterprise Skills to the test.

The Challenge: Level Up

Over the course of the day, students delved into the world of gaming and used their Working in a Team skills to design and code a new computer game set in their very own school! In a series of tasks based on eight Enterprise Skills, such as Using Imagination and Problem Solving, teams needed to reflect on their school values, research computer games and code a platforming game that showcased what makes their school great. The day culminated in the EE Games Expo, where each team presented their exciting new game.

What they said:

  • “We haven’t done much teamwork so far this year. This has been a great starting point for them to develop these skills.” – Teacher
  • “My team has got along well and we tried hard to finish all the activities on time.” – Student

Thanks to everyone for such a great Challenge Day!
