From the 14th to the 18th of November 2011, events will be happening all over the UK to celebrate and promote entrepreneurship. It’s a fantastic way to connect people, share ideas and bring out the next generation of business owners – and Enabling Enterprise is getting seriously stuck in!

We have six events taking place over the course of the week, which involve students from 9 of the schools we work with. For our largest event, which will take place on Wednesday the 16th, we have created an exciting one-off challenge day which will see 4 schools from across the country compete against each other. Students from 3 Aldridge Academies in Darwen and Brighton, as well as Writhlington School in Bath, will be brought together through a competition that challenges students to use all the key entrepreneurial attributes as they come up with a project in teams that will tackle a challenge either in their school or community. After preparing their ideas in the morning, they will show off their work in the afternoon in a trade fair, while members of the community will be invited to have a look round and vote for their favourite ones. The winning team from each school will be invited to spend the day in London on Friday the 18th for the grand final, at prestigious investment bank Societe Generale. They will work alongside a range of enterprising business people in the heart of London as they battle it out to be crowned overall winners of the Aldridge GEW Challenge! The excitement is mounting!
