On the 25th August we visited the Platform in Islington to meet a group of exceptional young people attending the Cr8tive Potential workshop.

The theme of the session was to explore and develop two vital enterprising skills: Negotiation and Sales. Following some fun starter games, the negation simulation was introduced: Team Alpha, a major building contractor is about to start work on a huge shopping centre and all they need to go ahead is the approval of the local community. Teams then received their briefs and set about developing their strategies before negotiations began.

The second part of the session explored what made a good sales experience The young people started by reflecting on our their own good and bad sales experiences and moved on to activities focused on communication skills and how to pitch a product.

The young people displayed fantastic negotiation skills and Mike thoroughly enjoyed leading the workshop.
